The sprint track at Navan is giving cause for concern ahead of the meeting there on Sunday.

Parts of the sprint course remain waterlogged following further showers overnight, and the situation is being monitored. The safety limit on the sprint course has now been reduced to just 12 runners.

The going at the Co. Meath venue is currently heavy, soft in places, with the all Flat card featuring the Listed Salsabil Stakes.

Cork racecourse in Mallow is due to race on Monday but parts of the chase track are waterlogged at present. The going is heavy, although there has been no further rain overnight.

There are two meetings tomorrow with Flat action at Naas, and a rescheduled jumping card at Tramore (following their cancellation last Sunday).

The going at Naas is soft (soft to heavy in one area), while Tramore is described as soft (heavy in places).

The forecast is generally fine both for today and tomorrow, although there is the threat of some rain on Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Meanwhile the ground at Punchestown is now soft to heavy (heavy in places) on all tracks ahead of the five-day Festival meeting which starts next Tuesday.

There was a further 5mm of rain at Punchestown in the past 24 hours.
