Hannon can't split Guineas pair Richard Hannon junior has warned there isn't much between Trumpet Major and Bronterre heading into Saturday's QIPCO 2000 Guineas. The former is second favourite for the first Classic of the season after a runaway win in the Craven Stakes while Bronterre was a major disappointment in the Greenham at Newbury. However Hannon told the Racing UK Podcast: "Bronterre is a horse we like a lot, a class horse, and capable of better. We were very disappointed with him at Newbury but we are still going to run him. He's much better than that. "Trumpet Major won very well with the penalty and showed us how good he is. He is the form horse going into the race, but they are two very good horses and there's not a lot between them at home." Crius will join his stablemates in the field at Newmarket with the only confirmed jockey booking so far being Richard Hughes aboard Trumpet Major.
