Harty on weather watch with Cee Bee Eddie Harty is considering giving 2008 Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner Captain Cee Bee his first outing over fences in the VictorChandler.com Novices' Chase at Ayr on Wednesday. The Curragh trainer has numerous options for the JP McManus-owned eight-year-old, who has been off the track since being pulled up at Aintree a month after his Cheltenham success. In addition to a trip to Scotland, Harty also has Captain Cee Bee entered in Ireland and is on weather watch before making any commitment. "He is in Ayr on Wednesday, Naas on Thursday and Navan on Saturday and where he goes will all depend on the weather," said the Curragh trainer. "Ayr is soft at the moment and whether he goes there depends on how much rain they get and what the racecourse tell me before declaration time tomorrow morning." "It is a distinct possibility he could go there and while I would prefer to travel 10 miles down the road than go to Scotland I need to get him out. Everything is up in the air and I haven't made any firm decision about where he will go." Captain Cee Bee claimed the scalp of Binocular when winning at Cheltenham and has another big name in his sights, with Harty planning to take on leading Arkle fancy Sizing Europe in the Bord Na Mona-sponsored Grade 1 Novice Chase at Leopardstown on December 26. He added: "Ideally I want to give him a run before Christmas as it will be a big task to go to Leopardstown first time out over fences. But we did take him to Cheltenham on the back of four months off."
