Henderson Delays Trabolgan Decision Connections of Trabolgan will leave it late before deciding whether to let last season´s top novice tackle Kicking King on his reappearance. Nicky Henderson´s charge, winner of the Royal & SunAlliance Chase, is entered for the Betfair Chase at Haydock on Saturday week - a race which is also set to feature the Cheltenham Gold Cup winner. The seven-year-old, who has been off the track since that Festival success in March, would be pitched in at the deep end on his first start in full chasing company with recent Charlie Hall winner Ollie Magern and Irish star Beef Or Salmon also set to run. Henderson is reluctant to commit his runner at this stage but owner Trevor Hemmings is reportedly keen to take on the challenge. 'I´m afraid we don´t know for certain whether he goes to Haydock,' said the Seven Barrows handler. 'It´s something I shall have to discuss with Mr Hemmings over the weekend. There´s no doubt it´s a possibility. 'He´s the baby in this pack and it´s all a matter of whether it´s the right thing to go and take on these top horses in his first run out of being a novice. 'We have to declare on Monday but I´ll talk to Mr Hemmings at Cheltenham over the weekend and we´ll decide what to do.'(C) PA Sport
