Henderson Happy With Ladbroke Hope

Tarlac is pleasing Nicky Henderson as he bids to give the trainer a second victory in The Ladbroke in five years.

Having taken Ascot's prestigious two-mile handicap hurdle with Chauvinist in 2002, Tarlac was installed favourite as soon as the market opened following a smooth victory over course and distance last month.

The German-bred five-year-old is as low as 4-1 with the sponsors for Saturday's race.

Henderson said: 'Tarlac is in good order and everything has gone fine.

'The ground will not matter, he goes on fast ground and goes in soft ground.'
