Hot Prix de Diane in prospect 1000 Guineas and Epsom Oaks runner-up Rhododendron will take on 15 rivals in the Prix de Diane at Chantilly on Sunday. Aidan O'Brien's daughter of Galileo looked an unlucky loser at Newmarket and ran another fine race when only finding Enable too strong at Epsom. Shutter Speed, who beat stablemate Enable at Newbury earlier in the season, will ensure John Gosden is strongly represented once more. The Khalid Abdullah-owned filly has been seriously impressive so far this season and was much too strong for her rivals in the Musidora Stakes at York last time. The British challenger will not find things easy, however, with Freddy Head's Terrakova leading the home charge. Unbeaten in two starts to date, she is regally bred being by Galileo out of the great racemare Goldikova. Andre Fabre, always to be respected, is responsible for Godolphin's Kitesurf with the Flaxman Stables-owned Senga. Maryline Eon will become the first female jockey to ride in the race when she teams up with Yellow Storm.
