Hourigan pleased with progress Beef Or Salmon remains on course to have another crack at the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup after pleasing connections in his work last week. Michael Hourigan´s charge has not raced since finishing third to Best Mate in the Ericsson Chase at Leopardstown in December, and is overcoming a muscular problem that ruled him out of the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup. 'He is coming along fine and did a good piece of work at Thurles last week,' said Hourigan. 'He´ll go straight to Cheltenham now, but will have another good gallop beforehand. 'The most important thing is just to keep him sound for the next couple of weeks.' The eight-year-old fell at the third fence in last year´s blue riband and is a general 14-1 shot for the March 18th showpiece.
