Hughes and Hanagan head for Wolverhampton

Richard Hughes’ agent Tony Hind expects the Jockeys’ Championship to go down to the wire and hopes his jockey can become Champion for the first time this year.

Speaking on Monday morning, Hind stated “Its very good for the racing public and hopefully Richard can become Champion.”

“I’m an optimistic person and told Richard two weeks ago to just put his head down and be on auto-pilot and work away and hope a bit of luck comes your way.

“He has seven rides today and I’d be happy with six wins! I think his best ride of the day today is Knockdolian in the final race. He looks very well in on the book and looks a horse who is improving.”

Hanagan has seven rides at Wolverhampton today while Hughes has eight at the same venue.

The season ends on Saturday November 6.
