IRISH CHALLENGE FOR FIRST NATIONAL AT ASCOT There is a strong Irish-trained challenge for the First National Bank Gold Cup at Ascot on Saturday, with five of the 15 declared from this country at today`s five day entry stage.Noel Meade has entered both Oa Baldixe and Royal Jake, while Christy Roche is also doubly represented with Risk Accessor and Brigade Charge. The Arthur Moore-trained Ellenjay is also among the entries.This race has attracted top class horses in the past with Best Mate narrowly beaten last year by Wahiba Sands. Fondmort and Truckers Tavern appear two of the strongest contenders among the home team.
