Iamagetaway made a winning stable debut for Ross Crawford in the beginners' chase at Downpatrick.

The seven-year-old gelding was backed down to 3/1 favourite from 9/2 and made all for Danny Mullins. The pair drew clear on the run-in for an emphatic 12-length success.

Rockstown Girl (9/1) couldn't a glove on the winner in second, but was just over three lengths clear of Oh Janey (5/1), trained by Stuart Crawford.

Crawford said: "I thought he was fit and ready to go, I just didn't know if he would be able to do it today or not. We went and gave it a shot and it worked.

"Danny rode my first winner at Down Royal and I use him whenever I can and when I can get him. He's not always easy to get, obviously, as a rider of his calibre.

"He's a horseman and a jockey, both, it's a great combination.

"It was a bit of a fact-finding mission (first-time hood) for me. That's obviously his first run for me and I wasn't just sure, I thought at home he was a little bit anxious and I thought maybe the hood would help keep him relaxed. It didn't do any harm."
