In Form Perle Ready For Leopardstown Trainer Willie McCreery is keeping his fingers crossed Perle De La Mer can make her presence felt in Sunday's Derrinstown Stud 1,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown. The daughter of Born To Sea made a big impression on her racecourse debut at Galway last September, but was unable to sufficiently raise her game in a Group Three at the Curragh three weeks later. McCreery admits to being unsure about how his filly will handle the forecast quick ground at Leopardstown this weekend, but believes she possesses enough talent to be in mix. "Whether she'll go on the quicker ground would be the question, but she's in good form and she's ready to go," said the Kildare-based trainer. "She was very good in Galway on her first run and her second race was a little unfortunate as they divided into groups, she ended up racing on her own and was a bit green. "We've been very happy with her this year and hopefully she'll run a big race." Aidan O'Brien saddles Zoffany filly Asking, as well as Elizabeth Browning, who turns out just six days after finishing fourth in the Athasi Stakes at Naas. The Jim Bolger-trained Bean Feasa, Michael O'Callaghan's Holy Cat and Shes Ranger from Adrian Murray's stable make up the field.
