Andy Slattery's My Girl Sioux doubled her career total in the Golden Kilowatt Handicap over the extended five-furlongs in Bellewstown.

The top-weight was soon sighted towards the rear under Andrew Slattery and availed of a lovely seam on the inner a furlong and a-half out.

The 4/1 shot took over at the furlong marker and strode in by a length from gambled-on Hero Of The Hour (4/1 - 5/2f) who had to settle for second. Lismacbryan Hill was another two and a-quarter lengths back in third at 7/2.

Assistant trainer Brian Slattery said: "She is ultra-consistent. She has her level, but she runs to her level every day and she picks up cheques.

"She had to carry 10-2 and she does have a habit of running into trouble in races. She likes a fast pace to aim at and they went fast there and came back to her. That's her ideal set up.

"You'll keep seeing her and she'll keep running away. She's actually in foal to The Antarctic and I think she has until the middle of September."
