Last season's Albert Bartlett winner Minella Indo is set to make his chasing debut at Gowran Park on Saturday week.

The Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding sprang a 50/1 shock in the Grade 1 contest at Cheltenham last season.

He showed that was no fluke however when landing a Grade 1 double in the three-mile novice contest at Punchestown.

The Beat Hollow gelding gained his first success over hurdles at the Cheltenham festival and de Bromhead is expecting improvement from his first outing this season:-

“He's in really good form and worked well the other day.

“I have the beginners chase at Gowran on Saturday week in mind for him.

“Bear in mind that he didn't win until Cheltenham last year. He still looks like a hunter and he's a tough man to get fit but he's schooling well and in good form.”
