There will be an 8am inspection at Galway before racing tomorrow. IHRB spokesman Lorcan Wyer commented after racing on Monday "Following an unsettled day today, which resulted in two millimetres of rain, and with the possibility of approximately another six to eight millimetres of rain overnight tonight, we will have a precautionary inspection at Galway on Tuesday morning.

"Our flat line is our innermost line, and we will have eight yards of fresh ground on the back straight and down the hill, which will then taper into seven yards of fresh ground in the home straight.

"The ground remains heavy and is currently fit for racing, but due to the prospect of more rain tonight, we will have an 8 a.m. inspection to assess the situation at that point."

The first race is due off at 12.50pm.
