Integral pleases many in Duke of Cambridge Integral got Ryan Moore on the scoresheet for Royal Ascot 2014 with a track-record success in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes. Sent off the 9-4 favourite, the Sir Michael Stoute-trained filly had made a promising seasonal return when second to Esoterique in the Dahlia Stakes and came forward from that Newmarket run to reverse the form in convincing fashion. Masarah set the early fractions for the Group Two mile feature, with Esoterique in close attendance, while Integral and Moore travelled powerfully, if a little keenly, just better than mid-division. Taking closer order the daughter of Dalakhani hit the front inside the two-furlong marker, showing a nice turn of foot before being driven to a two-length call over L'Amour De Ma Vie. Purr Along came home well for third, another two lengths further back. Moore said: "She's a very talented filly. She came in very late and all she's done is improve with every start. She's got a lot more professional. "She won well and I kind of hoped she'd do that really. "It went very smoothly. She took me there a bit earlier than I'd have wanted, but I was running out of horses to follow at that stage. "It's not firm ground. You get track records when it's a good surface. It's on the faster side of good, there's a good covering of grass and it's in good condition."
