Dermot Weld is still mulling over a possible tilt at the Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes with Purview next weekend.

The Juddmonte-owned colt started this season with a promising effort when chasing home Delacroix in a Derby trial at Leopardstown.

He was subsequently just denied in Group 3 company back at the same track in mid-July but could only finish fifth when sent to post favourite for a Listed prize in France last month.

When asked if the son of Kingman could run in the Irish Champion Stakes Weld replied: "There is no decision yet, it is still under consideration

"The ground was too firm for him in France the last day he ran, forget that run.”
