The weakness of Delacroix is the chief talking point in the market for the Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes (at 5.30) with the favourite now drifting out to as big as 7/2 with AKBets.

The Aidan O’Brien-trained colt was put in as a general 5/4 shot earlier this week. Anmaat White Birch and Hotazhell have all been supported with ground conditions seen as being in their favour, while Japanese raider Shin Emperor is also proving popular and has been cut into 5/1 in places.

The Coolmore America ‘Justify’ Matron Stakes is the other Group 1 race at Leopardstown this afternoon (4.25) and Exactly (8/1-9/2) has attracted significant support.

Ballydoyle is expected to land both juvenile events on today’s card, with Diamond Necklace cut into 8/13 in the absence of Kensington Lane (coughing) in the opening Ballylinch Stud Irish EBF Ingabelle Stakes (2.15). Benvenuto Cellini is a general evens favourite for the KPMG Champions Juvenile Stakes, with stablemate Montreal now as big as 2/1. Gleneagle Bay (4/1-9/4) is a strong favourite for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Sovereign Path Handicap at 2.50, while Aeronautic (7/1-4/1) and Happy Pharoah (16/1-7/1) have both been well supported in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Petingo Handicap at 6.05.
