Irish pony riders win silver European medal Whilst the U19 Irish soccer team couldn't contain the Spanish going down by 5 goals to nil in the UEFA European Championship Semi-Final last night, the Irish pony riders team excelled in winning a European Silver medal in Poland yesterday. The team of Bertram Allen, Michael Duffy, Emma O'Dwyer and Max O'Reilly-Hyland unluckily lost out on gold to Britain by just one time fault. This exciting group of under sixteens will compete for individual European medals tomorrow. Keen observers of equestrian matters are predicting big futures for this quartet in whatever part of the game that they eventually choose to pursue so watch this space!
