Jacksonslady to swerve Leopardstown Chase Philip Dempsey has ruled Jacksonslady out of the Coral.ie Leopardstown Handicap Chase at the Dublin venue on Sunday because of the current testing conditions. The County Kildare handler plans to put the mare, owned by JP McManus, away until the spring. "She won't run in the Leopardstown Chase, the ground is a bit heavy for her and she will have a spring-summer campaign," said Dempsey. "We had her ready a few times but she doesn't like that heavy ground so we are giving her a bit of a break now and hopefully she'll be back for Punchestown." The 11-year-old showed there were still races to be won with her when she was third in the Munster National at Limerick in October. A field of 22 remained in the two-mile-five-furlong contest at the five-day stage, headed by the Mouse Morris-trained First Lieutenant, who was runner-up in the Lexus Chase on this track over Christmas. Morris also has Rule the World and Folsom Blue, while Willie Mullins is triple-handed with Blood Cotil, Turban and Ballycasey. Ted Walsh successful 12 months ago with Foxrock, has left in Seabass and Rossvoss. Among others to note are Tony Martin's trio of Living Next Door, Rivage D'Or and Heathfield.
