Sent off 6/1, the Kevin Smith trained gelding briefly had to wait for a gap when travelling strongly early in the home straight. However, once switched out over a furlong from home, the six-year-old swept past Bucaneer's Spirit before holding the late run of gambled on Mythical Rock by one-and-a-quarter lengths. Kevin Smith said: "He had recent form on ground which wasn't ideal and over distances which were too short, and I've been waiting for today's ground for a while.
