The Jeremy gelding was last successful when completing a hat-trick for Ryan Potter in the Old Roan Chase at Aintree in October 2023. The 11-year-old only joined Liam Burke this spring and was prominent throughout here under Josh Williamson in this extended 2m3f event. The 25/1 shot was left clear when Supreme Jet exited just before halfway but appeared set to be reeled in two out. However, the company appeared to rekindle the front-runner and a fine leap at the last settled the issue as he kept on well to beat Dreal Deal by three and a quarter lengths. Grange Walk was a further three and a half lengths back in third. Williamson said, “It was a great spare to pick up, I found out about 12 o'clock this morning. "I thought we were going quick until Phillip's horse fell, after that I was able to pull it up as much as I could until going to two out. "He jumped well apart from one or two at the top of the track on the final circuit and was only doing enough in front.
