On this week's episode of ‘The Jockey Angle', brought to you by William Hill, jockey coach and lead race analyst, Paddy Flood, highlights a potential 2000 Guineas contender in Push The Boat Out who has progressed nicely through the season for trainer Michael O'Callaghan.

Paddy Flood's Analysis

For me this is going to be a race that we'll be looking back on and I think there'll be a lot of winners coming out of this, a hell of a lot of winners.

Orthodox is coming out with stall seven and stall six just on his inside, Push The Boat Out. Orthodox on the outside jumps very, very smart. Probably not the quickest but very quick into stride whereas Shane Foley here on Push The Boat Out if you can see his hand gestures he is actually squeezing him along. I think that's greenness to be honest with you.

Just watch Shane Foley's hands here they're up off the neck. They're not pulling. He's trying to stretch him.

If you look at Rossa on Orthodox, he's the complete opposite. He's got a double handful. This horse is very, very, very fast. They're doing 10 seconds a furlong there and he's a double handful.

In contrast to Shane Foley on Push The Boat Out who is at his horse very, very early. I mean, that's going to suggest that he probably wants further.

Shane, he's the first one probably off the bridle. He's nudging away, nudging away. Rossa Ryan on Orthodox is still just cruising. He's just slipstreaming.

Ryan Moore is waiting to pull out and go. Push The Boat Out here is completely under the pump and he doesn't go into the dip very well and he doesn't come out of it. You can see him drifting to the left and he'll swap a lead shortly, but he just looked really green and you thought at this stage he's actually not going to run that well.

but his last few yards really, really impressed and to me this horse looks like he's getting a nice run into Newmarket.

It looks like he's screaming out for a mile.

In contrast, I don't know if Orthodox is going to be your Guinea's type, but he's a very, very fast horse and very professional. Everything he did there was very, very smooth and easy. He won at Ascot over five as well.

Push The Boat Out is the horse to take out this. I thought the two of them I think they'll be horses we'll be speaking about a lot in the future.
