Jockey Lynch eyes Christmas return Andrew Lynch is keeping his fingers crossed he will be back in action for the busy Christmas period as he continues to recover from a broken arm. The multiple Grade One-winning jockey has not been seen in competitive action since suffering a fall in a maiden hurdle at Cork at the end of August. Lynch was initially scheduled to spend a couple of months on the sidelines, but his comeback has been delayed. He told the Irish Independent: "I thought I'd be let back but I've broken it before and my surgeon won't let me back until it's 100 per cent. "I've been riding out and flat out in the gym. I'm praying I'll be back at Christmas. "I'll go to whatever meeting necessary to get rides and winners. "It's deeply frustrating."
