Jockeys In The News Neil Mullholland has made the switch cross-channel to join Ferdy Murphy it was revealed today, putting forward lack of opportunities as the reason behind the move.With J P McNamara no longer with the Yorkshire trainer, Mullholland hopes to become understudy to recently appointed stable jockey, Davy Russell.Another Northern jockey in the news today is Liam Lennon who announced his retirement. A top amateur for many years, the 42-year-old now plans to concentrate on training.A recent knee injury incurred when riding out has forced the rider to call it a day. It is likely that his replacement aboard rising hunter chase star Joe Blake will be John Thomas McNamara.
