Joshua's Daylami brought up plenty of bets as she relished an extra trip in the mares' maiden hurdle at Punchestown.

She was produced by Cian Cullinan to pick up the long-time leader Affinity Rock before the final flight.

She wasn't foot perfect there, though, and pecked slightly which allowed Affinity Rock to renew her effort in a close second.

The leader was nothing if not game in the final stages as she stuck her head down and came in by three lengths over this extended two-and-three-quarter-miles.

She was backed from 7/1 to 11/4 while runner-up Affinity Rock went off the 9/4 favourite. There was a 12-length gap back to Milanaway (11/2).

Paul Fahey said: “A step up in trip and a jump, she’ll be a nice mare going forward for staying races.

“There is the Shannon Spray at Limerick (March 13th) and she might go there. If not we’ll see how the handicapper treats her.

“It was a low grade race but sure she did it.”

Fahey's last runner, Omakase, was a winner on the Flat in Dundalk earlier in the month.
