Assistant trainer Adrian Joyce is looking forward to Blastofmagic returning from a break in a five-furlong handicap at Dundalk on Friday evening.

Ger O'Leary's eight-year-old gelding was last seen winning by a short head over six furlongs at Dundalk in September under Shane Foley.

"He's really well, he loves running fresh and coming back after a break. He's very well in himself," Joyce said.

"He's drawn nine for Friday night and has Colin (Keane) on board. Shane (Foley) would usually ride him but he's away. Colin is a good substitute.

"He won't be far away on Friday night with a bit of luck in running. He's not easy to ride and he can be keen early on, and pulls up in front, but if everything goes to plan he won't be far away."

Blastofmagic has four victories in the book including over course and distance back in 2018.
