Katie T sidelined following accident Katie T is out for the season at least after suffering a fall in the yard at trainer Kevin Prendergast's Friarstown stables. No decision on her future has been made but it is possible the six-year-old could be retired to the paddocks if she fails to make a 100 per cent recovery. Katie T has shown smart form, winning the valuable BoyleSports Handicap Hurdle at Leopardstown in January, and she was a Grade Three winner as a novice in March 2014. Her last racecourse appearance to date came in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Champion Hurdle at Punchestown in May when she was fourth to Annie Power. "She had a bad fall and was lame for quite some time. She won't be active for at least six months," said Prendergast. "You won't see her this season anyway. She'll probably go to stud if she doesn't come right. "At the moment she's nearly right, but it will take another three of four months before we'll be able to make any decision."
