Keane outlines plans for Ragmans Corner Gerry Keane was amongst the winners at Bellewstown yesterday and had news of his grand dual-purpose performer Ragmans Corner. The six-time winner was unplaced in a 100K handicap hurdle at last week's Harvest Festival at Listowel. "He's in the big two-mile premier handicap at Naas on Sunday week, but he won't go there now. He didn't scope good after Listowel, so he's had a bit of treatment. He got a lung wash this morning actually, we will see what comes out of that. "It will be over hurdles if he runs any more this year. "He has been a great horse, unbelievable for a horse that cost so little. He has a bit of pedigree, but he was very small when we bought him. "I think there is plenty more in him. "Something like that (Navan Racing Festival), he was second in that last year, and he was fourth in the north (Down Royal), so those types of races. The lads would be anxious to go to the November meeting in Cheltenham if there is anything there for him. "We will probably go two and a half (miles) as well from now on, I think he is crying out for two and a half. That's his forte, just keeps galloping." Additional reporting by Michael Graham
