Kempton or Exeter the plan for God's Own 2014 Punchestown Festival hero God's Own could make his first start of the campaign with the defence of his Haldon Gold Cup title at Exeter next month. Trainer Tom George has the Grade Two contest on November 3rd as one of two options currently under consideration for the seven-year-old. Although his success at the Devon track was his only victory last season, the Grade 1 winner turned in some solid efforts in defeat, most notably when chasing home Un De Sceaux in the Arkle Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in March. George said: "God's Own is good and he had a trip out last week and we will give him one more away trip before his first start. "His first target could be the Haldon Gold Cup, but we will see what the weights do. He will also be entered in a graduation chase at Kempton the day before which is for horses that have not won more than two chases. "After those we would look at the Amlin 1965 Chase at Ascot as I want to step him up in trip again. Although he still has the pace for two miles, he will benefit going further as he is bred to stay."
