Salvador Ziggy is one of eight declared for the American Grand National at Far Hills this evening, with Jack Kennedy 'very excited' to be reunited with the Gordon Elliott trained seven-year-old.
The Grade 1 contest gets underway at 9:32pm Irish time, with the John McConnell-trained Seddon (Ben Harvey aboard) also flying the flag for Ireland.
"I'm very excited and he looks the one to beat," Kennedy enthused.
"John McConnell's horse is probably his main danger. We are hoping he will get the job done, so it's fingers crossed.
"I was expecting a big run from him in the Kerry National and he ran a cracker. Obviously he was giving plenty of weight away and it was a massive performance. He is a lovely horse.
"I think it will suit him over there and he will love the ground as well. Everything seems to be in his favour.
"I have one ride for Leslie Young and three more for Gordon; Kyogo, Calico and Say Goodbye, so I have plenty of good rides and hopefully we will have a good trip.
"Calico has been a great servant, she takes her racing really well and seems to be a case of the more she runs, the better she gets. Hopefully she continues on her upward curve."
