Ketchum Set For New Year Outing Black Jack Ketchum could make a surprise appearance in the Steel Plate and Sections Hurdle at Cheltenham on New Year's Day.Jonjo O'Neill's stable star had been expected to head for the Byrne Bros Cleeve Hurdle after making a successful seasonal debut at Prestbury Park earlier this month.However, O'Neill is considering an additional outing for his seven-year-old, who is now unbeaten in eight starts.He told the Racing Post: 'We originally pencilled in the Cleeve Hurdle as his next likely run but I think the race on New Year's Day fits nicely into the horse's timetable the way things have panned out.'After that race he will go for the Cleeve Hurdle as originally planned and then we will have six weeks in which to prepare him for the World Hurdle, which has always been his target for the season.'(C) PA Sport
