Improving mare Put The Kettle On looks set to contest the Arkle Trophy Trial Novice Chase at Cheltenham on Sunday.

Henry de Bromhead's charge is also engaged in a two-and-a-mile contest on the Friday but the trainer is eyeing a tilt at the Grade 2 prize.

The Stowaway mare rattled off four wins on the bounce during the summer and was most recently seen chasing home Robin De Carlow in Grade 3 company at Tipperary.

“She's in the two-and-a-half mile on the Friday and the two-mile on the Sunday. I'd be leaning towards the two mile,” said de Bromhead.

“The owners are going over, we've had a good fun season. She's been amazing all summer.

“They are all travelling over anyway so we said why not give it a go and see how she gets on.

“I think she'll enjoy it over there and I don't think ground is a huge issue for her.”
