Kinane and Berry Out Injured

Mick Kinane is set for a spell on the sidelines after breaking his right wrist in a fall at the Curragh on Saturday.

Fran Berry, currently leading the Jockey Championship, will also be out for quite some time after fracturing his sternum in the same race.

Berry's mount Indian Rite was going very well when breaking her leg and crashing to the ground, taking Kinane and Redstone Dancer with her who were travelling directly behind, roughly three furlongs from home.

Both jockeys were taken immediately and directly to Blanchardstown Hospital.

Kinane was released from hospital on Saturday night and will probably spend 4-6 weeks out of action; while the full extent of Berry's injury is not yet known until further x-rays are taken on Monday morning.
