Kirby and Cox double up at Haydock Priceless completed a big-race double for trainer Clive Cox and jockey Adam Kirby in the Armstrong Aggregates Temple Stakes at Haydock. A little over 30 minutes after teaming up to land the Sandy Lane Stakes with the hugely impressive Harry Angel, the pair combined with this 11-2 chance in the second Group Two of the day. The four-year-old filly got off to a decent start and tracked the pacesetting veteran Take Cover for much of the five-furlong contest. Priceless hit the front over a furlong out and while Goldream finished powerfully, Cox's charge held on by half a length. Alpha Delphini was a close-up third. Kirby said: "She's very good and I was riding the best filly in the race."
