Knight ready for Good Friday assignment Corinthia Knight is "thriving" ahead of his date at Lingfield in the 32Red 3 Year Old All-Weather Championships Conditions Stakes on Friday. An early juvenile last season, the Archie Watson-trained colt held his form throughout the campaign and has reached new heights already this year. Wins at Kempton and Newcastle set him up nicely for a Listed race in France, which he won in smart style. "He's thriving on his racing and seems to be improving all the time. Archie is over the moon with him," said Steve Bedworth of owners Ontoawinner syndicate. "I was there the Saturday before he went to France and we felt that race looked ideal for him, the only question was the extra half-furlong as he'd never gone that far. "He's so genuine and he's definitely one of those who just loves to race. "He looks the one to beat on Friday, he's the highest-rated horse and must have a big chance. "I think the fact he's an intelligent horse will help. You can drop him in or ride him handy. In France the French jockeys tried to do their thing, but Oisin (Murphy) was wise to it. "He's got that acceleration to get out of trouble, but you wouldn't want to be drawn very wide and have to use up too much too soon. "We're ever so confident. We're hoping we might have another Commonwealth Cup winner on our hands, those are the dreams at the moment and we're hoping we don't return to reality. "We've been very lucky to get involved with Archie from the start and couldn't speak highly enough of him."
