LEOPARDSTOWN CONFIDENT FIXTURE WILL GO AHEAD Leopardstown officials have revealed they are 'very confident' that Sunday's meeting at the Co. Dublin venue will go ahead.'If the weather forecast proves as accurate as it has been all week then we will be very confident that racing will take place on Sunday,' said Leopardstown's racing manager, Tom Burke.Conditions at the track improved somewhat overnight with the blanket of snow protecting the ground from last night's severe frost.More frost is forecast tonight but officials believe the snow on top of the track will prevent the frost from sinking deep into the ground.Meteorologists are predicting a rise in temperature to be accompanied by rain over the next 24 hours. Given the prevailing conditions, racing at Leopardstown on Sunday will be subject to a 7.00a.m. inspection.Sunday's meeting will stage an eight race card. Thursday`s entire ?Ericsson' card has been carried over. The AIB Festival Hurdle - which should have been Friday's feature race - is alsoadded to the card and sees Istabraq make his seasonal reappearance.
