Lashes makes Dance comeback

Triple Group One winner Lush Lashes makes her eagerly-anticipated return to the track in the Dance Design Stakes at the Curragh.

The daughter of Galileo landed the Coronation Stakes, the Yorkshire Oaks and the Matron Stakes in a fantastic 2008 campaign, but was retired to the paddocks after three runs without a win last summer.

She was subsequently covered by Sea The Stars but as that mating process ultimately proved unsuccessful, Jim Bolger has prepared the mare for a racecourse comeback and is pleased with her current condition.

"She's very well and we'd be expecting her to run a good race," said Bolger.

"I'm sure the race will bring her on, but she is fairly straight.

"The Prix de l'Opera at Longchamp (October 3) would be her immediate target after the weekend, all going well."

Lush Lashes will faces 12 rivals on Sunday, with Aidan O'Brien saddling Devoted To You and You'll Be Mine.

Recent Gowran winner Romie's Kastett is an interesting contender for John Oxx, while others worthy of note include Enchanted Evening and Obama Rule.
