Last to first for Mo Ghille Mar under McCullagh Scott McCullagh produced the Jessica Harrington trained Mo Ghille Mar from off the pace to win the Ampion Your Trusted Partner In Facilities Management Fillies Handicap at Down Royal. Held up last of the sextet, McCullagh made ground on the wide outside over two furlongs out, coming through to dispute entering the straight. Soon heading No Niki No and stablemate La Vita Nova, the 16/1 chance quickened up smartly to go away to win by three-and-a-quarter lengths. Heather, who was sent off 5/6f, had to wait for a gap in the straight before staying on well to take minor honours under Gary Carroll. Assistant trainer Kate Harrington said: "She was good, she was back down to a workable mark. "She had been a bit disappointing this season. We changed up tactics with her today, we took our time in a small field and I think she really enjoyed not being in a big field handicap and the hustle and bustle of it. She got things her own way. "She doesn't quite see out the two miles. That was a perfect trip for her. It is lovely to get her head back in front. "She didn't take to hurdles and she just took a while to get her mind back around. "She's in the big mile and a-half handicap at Galway, so we will see how things come whether we go there or not with her. It is a big pot, we will think about it."
