Late decision on Ballychorus for Troytown Owner Barry Connell will make a late call on whether to let ante-post favourite Ballychorus line up in the Ladbrokes Troytown Chase at Navan on Sunday. The Mags Mullins-trained mare has enjoyed an excellent campaign during the summer, with chase wins at Down Royal and Ballinrobe sandwiching back-to-back victories over hurdles at Cork and Galway. Connell is unsure whether his six-year-old will handle winter ground, but plans to give her another run to find out in either the Troytown or in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Handicap Chase at Fairyhouse on Saturday week. "She'll either run in the Troytown or a mares' race at Fairyhouse a week later. It will be one or the other and we'll decide later in the week," said the owner. "She's an improving mare and is going the right way, so we're looking forward to getting her out again."
