Lavery retains faith in Luke Sheila Lavery still has faith in Laid Back Luke going on to fulfil his potential despite being beaten at Limerick. An impressive all-the-way winner on his debut under Rules at Thurles, he was only fourth next time out but his handler believes he had a valid excuse for that display. "Laid Back Luke is great. There is a bumper for him at the end of April at either Punchestown or Fairyhouse and we are aiming him at that," said Lavery. "He got cast the night before Limerick and he was really stiff the morning of the race. I just don't think he ran up to his ability that day. "He had a bit of physio since then and he is great form at the moment."
