Leopardstown appeals dismissed The appeal of Macs Joy against his disqualification at Leopardstown on February 8, together with the appeal of bumper runner-up The Railway Man on the same card, were both dismissed following a hearing of the Appeals & Referrals Committee at the Turf Club yesterday.Macs Joy beat Kilbeggan Lad by three lengths in the handicap hurdle but was demoted behind that rival for causing interference on the run-in.The Railway Man was beaten a length by Malahide Marina, who drifted left in the closing stages of the bumper.The two incidents occurred on an extraordinary afternoon for the stewards with five enquiries in all.
