Leopardstown confirm Saturday evening meeting Leopardstown today confirmed that their meeting this Saturday, July 6th, will be an evening fixture.Trainers and jockeys gave their support to the Saturday evening fixture, which had previously been opposed by the racing community, over the weekend.Leopardstown General Manager Matt Doyle today expressed his delight that 'the Trainers and Stable Lads associations have agreed to join the other industry groups and support this meeting'.Leopardstown say the meeting is a test case to establish the popularity of Saturday evening racing and a response to the recent decline in attendances at Saturday afternoon meetings.The first race is off at 5.15pm and the last race goes to post at 8.15pm.
