Leveraging opened his account at the fourth attempt when making all to land division two of the Happy Christmas From All At Dundalk Stadium Maiden.

The Sheila Lavery-trained 6/1 shot was smartly away from his outside draw and dictated matters from the front, keeping on well inside the final furlong under Robbie Colgan to score by three-quarters of a length. Bright Eye Bungle showed plenty of promise on debut and finished strongly to snatch the runner-up spot, with 5/6 favourite Wearing Stars finding no extra a head further back in third.

Lavery said, “I was delighted. I've always thought a lot of that horse.

"His first run was in the Tatts Sales (Stakes, Curragh) and he wasn't really quite ready, and he ran really well.

"I stupidly ran him on soft, and then he ran here and he scoped so dirty.

"I think we will just give him a break now.

"Whether we get phone calls or not, he could be on the market.

"I'd love to have him for next year. I think he will make into a lovely horse for next year."
