Like lunges late to score for Mulvany Cause I Like You lunged late to deny Oisin Murphy a double on the card at Killarney night. Zheleznaya Dama made a bold bid from the front in the Irish Examiner Handicap but was chased down in the closing stages by the Mick Mulvany-trained filly. Wesley Joyce got a good tune from his mount late on to record a length-and-three-quarters success. The 10/3 winner had been runner-up on her last outing and Mulvany said:- “She fired a warning shot the last day, she was finishing really well in Bellewstown. “She’s learning on the job and hopefully now she knows what she’s doing. “She’s entitled to be there, where she is today, and it’s just nice to have a winning bracket for the owner/breeder. Hopefully they’ll keep the whole thing going.” When asked if she could get further he added:- “Probably in time, she’s only really settled and has been learning. “I’d say a mile to nine furlongs is her trip. I think the penny is only really starting to drop with her and hopefully it’s onwards and upwards.”
