Limato primed for step up in trip Limato and Safety Check are a couple of the star names in the mix for Saturday's Saint Gobain Weber Park Stakes at Doncaster. The Henry Candy-trained Limato sidestepped last weekend's Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock, won by stable companion Twilight Son, to instead step up to seven furlongs for the first time on St Leger day and connections will be encouraged by the relatively dry forecast for Town Moor in the coming days. Godolphin's Safety Check won three times during a tremendous winter campaign at Meydan earlier in the year and made a most encouraging return to British action when third behind the talented Toormore in the Lennox Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. Last year's winner Ansgar features in a strong challenge from Ireland, with Aidan O'Brien responsible for a couple of contenders in Cougar Mountain and War Envoy. Home Of The Brave has excellent claims for Hugo Palmer off the back of winning the Minstrel Stakes at the Curragh, while Ed Walker's Lightning Moon could make his first appearance since early May. Other potential runners include Cable Bay, Breton Rock and Ivawood.
