Limites set for step up in trip Without Limites will drop back to maiden company after finishing third at Gowran on Saturday. Trainer Liz Doyle was pleased with his effort in being beaten just under nine lengths by Light That, but believes the good ground and the two-mile trip failed to play to the strengths of the dual bumper winner. She said: "The ground was a long way the quickest he has ever run on, and I probably knew going into it that two miles would be too short for him, but it was just to get him started. "We could do with some rain for him and we'll probably be stepping him up half a mile in trip. "He will probably be out again around Christmas. "He jumped well on Saturday, he made one bad mistake three out I think, but apart from that I was really pleased with him. He was beaten by two Flat horses, and he'll probably end up being a soft-ground three-miler. "I have to be really pleased with him, I think the run will do a great job on him. "He will go back to maiden company now. I was looking at running him in the last week or 10 days. Thurles on Thursday was going to be quicker than Gowran, and I had the option of the 30-runner maiden hurdle at Navan (on Sunday) but that looked extremely hot. "I just wanted to get a run under his belt so it was the four-year-old winners'-of-one that I went for. "Hopefully with a bit of rain and upping him in trip will tick all his boxes."
