Lingfield jumps card frozen out This afternoon's jumps fixture at Lingfield has been abandoned due to a frozen track. Officials at the Surrey track knew their fate shortly before an intended 8am precautionary inspection as overnight temperatures dropped to a shuddering minus 5.5C. Lingfield's executive added in a statement that it "was not due to rise above freezing until 11am", with a maximum high of just 2.5C throughout the day. Punters can instead concentrate on three all-weather Flat cards at Southwell, Wolverhampton and Chelmsford City. There is also action further afield this afternoon at Meydan, while racing resumes in Ireland tomorrow on the Polytrack at Dundalk.
