Lisard Lady got back to winning ways when powering home in the John Lane & Sons Handicap.

She won on debut at Down Royal in July last year before three unplaced efforts ensued albeit in good company.

The Bated Breath filly made no mistake this evening as she swept out of the pack and into the lead in the final two furlongs.

She was soon clear under Leigh Roche who was able to ease down in the closing stages as they won by two and three quarter lengths at 12/1. Lethal Power finished second at 8/1 with 14/1 shot Faughill third at 14/1.

Co Kerry trainer Tom Cooper said: "She is a smart filly and showed what she did at Down Royal on her debut. She was sold for big money to America but unfortunately it fell through and we were left with her but I'd say she is a very nice filly.

"She gets a mile well and ran exactly as she did when winning at Down Royal. She could be a black-type filly and she has trained on now which is a big help."
