Zadawa looked to appreciate a step up in trip as she ran away with the concluding Sean Cleary Memorial Fillies Maiden at Galway this evening.

On her fourth start, the Dermot Weld-trained 100/30 chance lined up over a mile and a half for the first time and she eased to the front under Chris Hayes well before the straight.

Ger Lyons' 50/1 shot Hey Stella soon went in pursuit but couldn't land a blow and there was eight lengths between the pair at the line.

Weld commented “She did it well and had run a very good race when finishing second in Cork.

"She stays well, loves a mile and four furlongs and the Bluebell Stakes at Naas has been on my mind for a while, and today won't change my mind. We'll decide on next year after Naas."
