Listowel escapes heavy rain The going is likely to be slightly easier on day three of the Listowel Festival following 5mm of rain overnight. The provisional going this morning is yielding to soft on the Flat track and good (yielding in places) for the jumpers. The forecast is for a dry afternoon. Clerk of the Course Brendan Sheridan said: "We have been very lucky to escape the downpours in other areas of the country. I know there was an inch of rain in parts of Limerick overnight." Meanwhile significant rain at Fairyhouse has currently left the course soft to heavy ahead of their all Flat fixture this Sunday.
